Chapter 90. By time season 3 airs, we will be at 100+ chapters in the manga. It also may explain why season 2 had that credit ending and them deciding to show Ymir back story, because they were planning to adapt the season after the uprising arc. |

| I wonder whether the manga will have to go on hiatus. Next year, the manga is supposed to be finished and next year the anime is only suppose to reach chap 90 something in 2 cours. They won't finish the manga before the 4th season of the anime, will they? |

I think 25 episodes are not enough to adapt those 2 arcs because there'll be a lot of dialogues. |

I still don't think it's doable. The uprising arc is quite lengthy and extremely dialogue-heavy. I don't know if they can do it in 12 episodes (assuming it's 2-cour) since it definitely needs more imo. I would say it needs around 14-15 episodes. The conclusion of the Shiganshina arc is also pretty rich, so I doubt it's possible to adapt the entire arc and end the anime at chapter 90. Idk. |
| @najib90 @_Spectacled_ 40 chapters in 25 episode is doable, and if they needed a bit more episode they could make it 30 episodes. A lot of persons complain about the pacing for this season, imo with so many chapters, they could easily adapt most episodes with 2 full chapter instead of 1 chapter with filler added to pad out the episode , like this season. The uprising arc can easily be 13 episodes, because they can adapt most episode with 2 chapters unlike season 2 where only a few episode was adapted from 2 chapters. |

I think they planned it this way, they didn't want to end season 2 on the uprising arc, so they decided to make this season 12 episodes. And then put the uprising arc at the beginning and end the season with the basement arc. It is better to have a slow start and end it with a strong finish. Well, they ended S2 with ****. fucking his reveal in the manga, which has been my favourite scene until now. If they wanted to end it like that, why not uprising and then leave anime only waiting totally hyped with that reveal in his true, glorious and epic scene? |

I don't get how people think that the Uprising arc can't fit 12-13 episodes? Season 2 had to add filler almost every episode since it adpated 1 chapter per episode like you said. 2 chapters per episode wouldn't be too bad, plus that dialog flies when it's animated. It does not need 15 episodes like some are saying lol. |
