He awoke slowly; his head pounded like a drum. His throat was sore and ached, and sand covered his body, which had hurt in pain. His mind was in a swirl as if a typhoon had wrecked it. One did, at least, he thought it did. Ethan slowly looked around, saw the land, and noticed a forest further back. And how he was on a beach, he was covered in sand, so that was easy to tell.
Ethan didn't even want to try to move, but he needed to. He tried to get up and stand slowly, but his legs wobbled like a thin piece of metal as he did. Speaking of metal, Ethan noticed wreckage around him. Was that the boat? Or was it a plane? Ethan couldn't remember at the moment. Ethan, still shaky, took one step forward and fell over, the sand cushioning his fall. Ethan wanted to cry because he was scared senseless, but he had to keep going; at least he had to try. Ethan again got up slowly and took another step, this time not falling over. Ethan sighed and mustered the strength to take another one and then another. Slowly but steadily, he made his way off the beach.
That also helped him gain his senses and begin to think more. Ethan, now able to walk around, at least looked around more and saw more of the wreck around the shore. Ethan looked to his right and saw the lush forest, deep and rich in color. Ethan is 19 years of age and played his fair share of games, some survival games. One of them was Ark, but Ethan knew this wasn't a game. But going by survival logic, staying on the beach and looking through the wreck would be safer than going into the forest. He didn't even know where he was or what the forest held, so Ethan made his way to some of the wrecks and tried to search through them. Ethan just hoped for anything to help; after a few minutes of searching, he found something. A knife, it was a pocket knife, a decent-sized one. Ethan knew, at least with his, he could cut stuff and increase his chances by a lot. Ethan continued his search and found the holy grail at the moment. A survival kit had survived by God's grace, and Ethan began to cheer in the air.
He had something that could help and at least gave him time. Ethan grabbed the kit faster than you could blink and opened it. It had everything it needed. MRES, drinking water, the fire starts, everything, even an emergency shelter. Ethan was so happy at that moment that he could survive at least. Ethan looked at the book it came with and began to read it during daylight; Ethan couldn't tell what time it was. But as he read the book, he looked through the stuff to ensure he had everything it came with, which it did. Ethan closed the book and tapped it; Ethan was thinking of what he needed to do, so he decided to treat it as one of the games. It would be easier for him to cope with the fact he was alone, but if he pretended it was one of his games, he would feel a little better. So, with some strength, he got up, looked at the lush forest, and stopped. He was still worried even going near it, but deep in his mind, he knew at some point he had to. All the game requires you to go deeper in, but for now, he didn't have to. Ethan looked around for branches and rocks close to the forest's edge without going too far.
20 minutes later, Ethan had gathered the stuff to make a small fire, at least stones and sticks. He ranged the rocks in a circle; he might not have made fires before, but he understood the fundamentals enough to get it. He placed the sticks in but waited for dark before lighting the fire. Ethan looked at the sun and saw it setting, but it would be a while before that. Ethan decided to read more of the book to figure out more stuff and give him something to do.
The light began to fade after a while, and darkness crept upon the sky; Ethan, with the bit of light left, used the fire starter to start the fire. The fire bloomed, and Ethan began to feel its warmth; it was comforting, at least. Ethan set up the shelter with the firelight, a small plastic tent with light bedding, but it was way better than sleeping on the sand. A sudden rumble broke in; Ethan was starving, so he grabbed one of the MRES and looked at the Ravioli it was. Ethan opened it and read its instructions, which said to put the Ravioli near the fire to heat them up. Ethan grabs some of the water and drinks it as if he has never consumed anything before in his life. Ethan knew he needed to ration this stuff, like he would at the beginning of the game, until he found a stable food source, meaning he had to go into the forest.
But that's tomorrow's problem for now. It was okay; the ravioli were done after a minute, and Ethan devoured them. They didn't taste the best, but that wouldn't matter less to the teen; food was food. After he was at least not hungry nor thirsty, Ethan just stayed there, letting the fire coat him, its warmth not wanting to leave. He watched it dance and wave in the air. It at least kept his mind off stuff. Ethan yawned, and his eyes began to close; he grabbed some sand and snuffed out the fire, not wanting to burn anything. He poked it with a stick to ensure it was out; he was aware of fire safety. With it out, Ethan crawled into the tent and lay down, nearly crashing as he did. It wasn't the softest thing, but that didn't matter. Ethan curled up and closed his eyes, quickly falling asleep and awaiting a new day.
A new day had risen, and the sun's light reached into the tent, waking up Ethan. Slowly, with a stir, he exited the tent and walked around to wake himself up. After a bit more awakening, Ethan decided to do a count: "4 MRES left and 5 bottles of water..with some..water purifying salts.." he said in a more groggy tone. Ethan will talk to himself when confused and lost in his thoughts. He couldn't write anything down, so it was his second-best option. Ethan was hungry and was about to open another MRE when the one last night fell over, showing more stuff. Ethan laughed at himself for forgetting MREs came with more things in them. He looked at the rest of the MRE, peanut butter and jelly with crackers. Ethan quickly gobbled it up and decided to re-look at the MRES. "Okay, so each one comes with possibly 2 to 3 meals in them.. that makes 12 meals left at least...shit, I'm going to need to find another food source ..already.." he sighed, now knowing he had to go into the woods to at least look around. Ethan debated whether or not to take his stuff with him to find a new location or to leave the property there. Ethan figured to go to the beach. He wasn't ready to live in the woods yet. But he needed a way back; Ethan paused to think.
Then he got the idea to take sticks and make a trail marker akin to how you would place torches in Minecraft to lead you back to your base in older versions. Ethan grabbed as many sticks as he could, and with a bit of courage the young man had, he walked into the forest. He went slow, unprepared for anything to show up, so he was as quiet as possible. Ethan placed sticks along where he walked to find his way back to the beach. After going far into the woods, he stumbled upon a massive redwood tree. Ethan was amazed by how large it was, seeing them in books, but seeing one in person was different. Looking around the tree, he saw a massive hole; he went into it and found it empty. The hole was big enough for his tent to fit, keeping it out of the weather.
While wandering around the tree, Ethan could hear rushing water, lighting his eyes up. He ran towards the sound, but in his excitement, he slipped and fell, crashing into rocks and thorns. The thorns went deep into his flesh, stabbing into it and crashing into the rocks, gashing open Ethan's head. At that moment, Ethan screamed in pain, not thinking about the surrounding area. As the scream left his lips, his mind went back on track and now realized what he had done. "fuck" he said in a hushed voice; suddenly, massive thuds could be felt, and a voice broke out, "I think they're over here." Ethan was alarmed. He didn't know what to think but didn't have time to as two massive hadrosaurs looked down at him. Ethan couldn't believe that he was seeing dinosaurs alive and real? Maybe this was a dream.. a coma; this had to be a coma by now. They wore clothes, and for God's sake, they had human-like features. There was one meal and a female hadrosaur; they were a couple. They were wearing cotton clothes. The hadrosaurs were teal in color with a white underbelly.
For the moment, they studied Ethan as Ethan examined them; the male stuck out his hand in an offer to help Ethan get up to his feet. "Come on, let's get you up," he said calmly. Ethan wasn't rude and was in a lot of pain, so he took the stranger's hand and was hoisted to his feet. Ethan flinched in pain as the thorns pressed into his skin more; the female looked at Ethan and spoke, "Here, hun, let me help you with that." She grabbed a bag she carried and opened it up. Showing all sorts of tools and gear, she held a bag. "Founterly, I never leave home without this stuff," she spoke gently and opened the bag, showing a turquoise past. The hadrosaur dipped her hands in it and looked at Ethan. "Okay, this is going to sting, but for a short while," she said, rubbing some of it on his forehead first. Ethan flinched in pain as it burned like rubbing alcohol, but after a second, the pain was gone. She then rubbed more on his legs, which did the same process; Ethan was amazed but didn't forget his manners. "thank you, mam," he spoke in a stutter, processing what had been happening. The couple laughed, and the female said again. "Yeah, no problem; it must be weird for you to see a dinosaur... Am I right?"
How could she tell? Maybe they were used to this by now, but how did she know how a human would see this weird. Ethan's face grew in confusion, which made her laugh. "I get it; you're not the first human to show up here; we know about the rest of the world." Ethan nodded, now understanding how they would know; he turned to look at the past on his legs. As he observed it, it was solid, no longer a past; the male said, "You should be able to take it off. It hardens enough to easily come off." Ethan nodded and started to touch it. It was soft like dirt and crumbled quickly. As Ethan removed it, he stopped in awe. His wounds were gone completely. This wasn't just their version of rubbing alcohol. This was different. "How do you make this stuff?" he asked in amazement. The male laughed. "It's quite easy, actually, you see, if you go along rivers and some of the lakes, you find these green berries; they don't taste so good but are the main compound. Then more around the trees, you'll find teal berries.. like those." he pointed over to a nearby bush with teal berries. The female went over and started to pick some, and the male spoke again, "We actually came out here to get the ingredients to make more when we heard you scream in pain. To be quite honest, I'm surprised there are any survivors of that crash; most of our herd looked around there for days but didn't see anyone." Ethan's heart stopped, and his vision blurred as if he remembered what he had forgotten. Whether by trauma or choice, he pushed it back, the thoughts back, but they came from. He heard it, the screaming and panic..his family. The male realized what he did "shit buddy, I'm sorry, I didn't mean.. shit" he went over to his to get her attention. She quickly turned around to look at Ethan, but he was gone. They panic, knowing someone like him couldn't survive out there, not with the predators.
Leaves hit Ethan's face as he ran and ran and ran. Sobbing, now seeing that they were dead, his family was dead. And that strength he had to push himself forward vanished like the light. He fell at the tree's root and curled up, still sobbing. Ethan felt horrible; he didn't even look for survivors himself; he didn't even look for his family; he had forgotten about them. The night seemed to fall quickly that day, but Ethan was still crying. The stars appeared high in the skies, a gentle breeze brushed through the leaves, and crickets and other bugs sang out in the night.
Ethan ran so far he didn't even know where he was, and the hadrosaurs couldn't find him either. Surrounded by the darkness of night, it seemed to coat Ethan on how he felt at that moment: broken, destroyed, alone. Ethan cried so much he was dried up like a desert, but amid the sniffling, he didn't hear the thuds come towards him. But he did hear a new, gentle, soft feminine voice like a mother's. "Hello.. who's there?" it called out. Ethan didn't respond, still sniffling. "hey, it is okay...I won't hurt you.." it spoke again. "go away..please.." Ethan said in a broken tone, he wasn't rude to anyone but wasn't himself. The voice spoke again, "Hey, it's okay.. don't cry..please don't cry.'' it seemed whoever it was was trying to comfort him like a mother to a scared child. "no, it's not ... they're gone.. they're gone.." Ethan broke down more.. he couldn't handle it. "oh honey. I'm sorry... I get it, tho... I lost something, too...look, I'm sorry I have to do this. But I need to look for my thing... if you are still in the morning. I'll come back. I promise..okay..please don't cry," she spoke more, and her tone was sad, feeling bad for leaving him alone in his trouble, but she had something more important to find. Ethan didn't notice her leave; he didn't notice anything. Just crying he cried so much so that he passed out from tiredness.
The sun arose the next day, beaming its light across the forest, hitting Ethan in the face. Ethan woke up and rubbed his eyes; he got up stumbly but could still walk. Ethan began to walk in one direction, continuing. It was aimless, pointless walking, not mattering where he was heading. He was heading somewhere. When the day began, the sun crept to the middle of the sky, but he still wondered. On his wonder, he did start to think about the person; who was she? He did wonder a bit. His thoughts were cut off by a scream. "MOMMY!" a pitiful voice shouted. Ethan heard this scream and headed in that direction, curious about what was happening. After about 12 feet, he saw a younger dinosaur lying in the open, crying. Ethan's heart dropped; he felt horrible for the little thing; she was about the size of him, but still. the hatchling was gray in color, and her eyes were a soft green, with tears rolling out them. Ethan approached the scared child and tried his best to calm them. "Hey.. are you okay?" the little dino looked up at him, wiping their tears. They spoke, "I miss my mommy..I just want to go home.. I wish I didn't chase that butterfly so far," she began to cry. Again, Ethan gave her a hug, trying to comfort her. "Hey, it's going to be okay; I'm sure your mom will be here soon... I'll stay with you till she gets here..will that make you feel better?" he spoke softly to ease her. the child gave a soft nod and cuddled up against Ethan ``thank you, mister."
They both looked up at the tree line as loud thuds could be heard; the trees were snapping as they got closer. Ethan stood up, looking at the tree, waiting to see what was coming. A tree falls over as an enormous dinosaur emerges, a theropod. She screamed, "MY BABYYY!" and looked so happy; they were more tan, with red highlights, and her face was scared. Ethan lowered his guard, thinking this was her mother. But the child did not move; the giant theropod spoke again, "Come to momma honey," but the child remarked, "You're not my mommy." Ethan, in an instant, clenched up his fist; he didn't have any idea what to do, but he wasn't about to let this kid get hurt. "okay, you heard her now leave" Ethan spoke to the theropod, who laughed "Oh dear you really think you can do something.. look I don't want to hurt you..well maybe a little but I'm not interested in this game I just want her so if you could like to go die in a hole or something great."
Ethan didn't move. He just stared at her. "no, I don't like people who hurt kids for fun." he pulled out his small pocket knife, which made her laugh even more. "Oh, you got spirits, Dor. One so small. Do you know what? I'll play this game, I'll give you till.. let us see what will be more fun for me.. 15... I'll count to 15, and well, you're going to die, but you can't say I didn't give you a chance. 1" On the count of one, Ethan grabbed the young theropod and bolted to the tree line behind them; he ran for up to the count of 6. he looked at the kid, "Look, I don't know who you are. Still, you got to listen to me, okay?" she nodded; further into the forest, Ethan looked around and saw some vines, and using his knife, he cut some down. "okay, look, what we need to do is you .. uhh, go over there" he pointed towards two trees. A gap between the trees was big enough for the predator to walk through. "Look, you stay here and hold on to this, and when I give the single, you need to hold on to this as tight as you can. You got it?" he was barking orders at her, but their lives counted on it. She nodded, but time was up, and they could hear her coming. Ethan got behind one of the trees, holding on to the vine for dear life. The kid did the same. They felt her massive footsteps and a cruel, teasing voice. "Ohh, children, where are you.. why don't you come out and play with dear old mommy?" They could see her shadow getting closer; Ethan nodded at the kid. They began to pull on the vine as hard as they could. The theropod got more intimate, and they could see her feet.
She got caught by the vine with one massive step and slipped, falling to the ground with a mighty thud. Ethan leaped into action, using his knife to stab one of her eyes. the theropod howled in pain and rolled around; this bought them time to run. They heard her yell out in rage, "WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU LITTLE SHITS," and could listen to her running. The child began to scream for her mother as they ran. the horror the felt as they hit a dead end, and the theropod was right on them. Her left eye was blood red after Ethan's attack; she seethed, "I'm going to break every bone in your body and kill you slowly," she snarled at Ethan, who stood in front of the child. Suddenly, someone punched the theropod away; another more muscular female theropod bellowed a mighty roar. Another more frail one came out, striking the therpod as well.
Seeing two of them, she left, not wanting to fight; the frail female looked behind her. her eyes opened wide, and the kid lit up with joy and shouted, "MOMMY!" She ran towards her mom and leaped into her arms. Her mother kissed her all over and held her tight. "My baby.. my baby," she said. Ethan recognized her voice... It sounds similar to the one he heard last night. But he wasn't sure; he did smile at the sight, happy that the kid was safe. Ethan was going to walk off, but the tail of the muscular female stopped him. She looked at him with a facial expression: Where do you think you're going? The kid looked at the muscular one and yelled, "AUNTIE SORAHHA '' She rushed over to Sorah, who hugged the child. But then spoke sternly, "How many times have we told you, Lilith, not to run off?" Litith gave the casual child a pouty face; Sorahh shook her head. "I'm glad you're safe,"
Lituth hugged her aunt again before returning to her mother, who said, "You don't know how bad you scared me. I wish you understand, pumpkin; I wish you did." Litih nuzzled against her mother; she looked over and remembered Ethan, and with a cheerful voice, she said, "Oh, momma, he had protected me." Ethan rubbed the back of his head nervously. "it was nothing." Lilith's mother looked at him more sternly and spoke in that tone, "Protecting my child isn't nothing; she's alive because of you; that's nothing." "Well, ma'am, anyone could have, " before Ethan finished his sentence, "and? that doesn't matter; no one else was there, you protected from that piece of shit that wanted to hurt her. YOU did, and I'll be forever thankful" she went back to being softer, but something was familiar about the boy to her. "hey..what's your name?" she asked. "my name is Ethan ma'am ..may I ask what yall's name? " he asked. "well this Lilith, that's Sorah, my older sister and I'm Indy" Indy said smiling at Ethan. But she wondered something. "Hey Ethan, can you come here, please?" Indy spoke in her soft tone; Ethan went closer to her. She leaned down and began to smell Ethan, who was weirded out by it. "it is you," Indy said with a surprised expression; Ethan then put two and two together. "So you're the person from last night," he said, surprised. "yep, that was me," Indy laughed. Ethan then apologized to Indy, "Sorry, mam, for being rude last night." Indy couldn't help but chuckle. "Sweetie, it's alright. You were giving It okay; I can tell you a good person."
Lilith broke up the conversation. "Mommy, I'm hungry," Indy began to laugh. "Already needy, you little monster, let's see. I should have packed something for you." Indy started to look through her bag; Sorahh shook her head. "Come on, Lily, you're what, 8? You should be able to catch prey by this point." "Oh, stop it leave her alone she's been through enough today, they both have," Idny said, still looking. She handed a smaller bag to Lilith. "Her, sweetie, I packed some snacks for you." "Thanks, Mommy," the small child said and opened the bag; it was some jerky, which she quickly devoured. Indy reached in, got another bag, and handed it to Ethan. Ethan looked confused; Indy smiled, "You're probably hungry here, too. Eat up," Ethan shook his head. "It's okay, Ms. Indy im not hungry I'm sure Lilith or yall need it more," Indy followed that up with a stern motherly tone "bullshit, I can that you need to eat, so eat" Ethan spooked some by her voice grabbed the bag "thank you mam" he said as began to chow down on the jerky "you're welcome sweety" Indy said back to her soft tone, this made Ethan blush some. being cared for like this, it made him feel better.
After the ate their food, Ethan got up and looked at the family. "Um, thank you for saving my life, but I think I should head off now.. thank you." Ethan was ready to go off, but Sorahh stopped him again; her natural tone was soft but stern, and she seemed the group's matriarch. "Oh no, you are coming with us." Ethan looked at her, confused. "You're not safe alone, not anymore, and you had the balls to stand up to a Giga, something not even other theropods are willing to do, so you have my thanks and my respect." Sorahh said this made Ethan ask, "What kind of dinos are y'all then.. if you don't mind me asking?" Sorahh answered, "We're Rexes, at least a type of Rex." their bodies were a light gray with cream underbelly; Indy might be white, while Sorahh was darker. Lilith carried her mother's traits of being more delicate, but she is still growing.
Ethan blushed as he looked at all of them. "Has anyone told y'all how pretty y'all are?" Both Indy and Sorahh lightly blushed. Sorahh remarked, "What are you, some kind of lady charmer as well.. Do you think that works on me? Do you?" she got closer to him with a more meaningful scowl, which made Ethan back up a bit. Soar laughed. "Hey, it's okay. I was just messing with you; I won't hurt. But, Ethan, since we're forcing you to come with us, I'll lay out some ground rules. I am the matriarch; you do know what that is?" Ethan nodded; Sorah continued, "So you know you have to ultimately listen to me, unless I'm joking when I say something, then do it, alright?" Ethan nodded. "Yes, mam"
"Good now, Rule 1. No, WONDERING OFF." Sorah looks at Litih, who turns her head, seeming to be trying to look innate. "Rule two, no perverted stuff. Don't take that the wrong way, I'm not assuming you're that type of guy. You don't seem to like it; I just have that as a ground rule, okay?" Ethan nodded, not speaking so as not to interrupt her. "And other simple ones like no stealing, no fighting, blah blah blah, you got the jest, right," Sarah asked. Ethan just nodded ", Okay, good, well let's get moving, no need to spend the night here," Sorah said, looking at the group; Lilith looked at Indy and smiled. "hey, mommy," she said to draw her mother's attention "hmm," Indy remarked "Can I go in your tummy please," the young girl asked cheerfully. This caught Ethan off guard. This was something he was never prepared to hear. He was into vore, but being able to do it and see it was something he wasn't ready for. Indy paused to think, "Hmm." She looked at Ethan and responded, "No, sweety right now. If you want, you can go in Aunt Soarh's tummy, and we can switch later." Lilith smiled and ran over to Sorah, who gently picked up the girl. Sorah smiled and brought Lily close to her mouth; she opened it, showing her massive sharp teeth. Sorah gives Lily a soft lick before closing her mouth and nuzzling her niece. Lily giggled, and Sorah opened her maw to put Liliy in gently. Lily sucked in her aunt's tongue, which gently wrapped her up, tasting her at the same time. After a moment to taste her niece, Sorah gently swallowed Lily, you could see a bulge form on the outside of Sorah's throat as Lilith went down, being pulled by Sorah's throat muscles. Ethan saw Sorah's stomach wiggle before stopping, assuming Lily got comfy.
Indy looked at Ethan and gently grabbed him, pulling him towards her. This did freak him out a bit. Indy rubbed his head to calm him down. "did you like what you saw? You watched the whole thing," she asked softly; Ethan responded, "Well. I uhh, I well, you see," Indy laughed. "It's okay, you can tell me." She smiled at him. She knew the answer but wanted him to say it out loud. Ethan nodded and looked embarrassed, which made Indy chuckle. "it's okay, my child enjoys being eaten all the time; normally, I would eat her myself, but. I wanted time with you.. my little hero, and be honest, who's prettier?" she asks smugly; Sorah gets annoyed. "Oh, someone, you have to try that, don't you." Ethan didn't say anything not to make Sorah look at Ethan. "Look, it's fine. I'm sure she won't be upset when you say me." It seemed the sisters were teasing each other; Ethan spoke shyly and nervously, "Well, I don't want to choose... I think both are very beautiful." Both rexes looked at him and smiled.
Indy spoke, "Well, okay, but we both know who you like more," she laughed before speaking again. "Ethan... thank you." She leaned in and gave Ethan a soft kiss before nuzzling him. His face was bright red, and he was more shaky now. "aww, poor baby gets nervous on a woman's touch," it was a light tease from Indy. "well, done squirm too much, okay?" Indy said to Ethan, who just stared at her. Indy opened her maw, showing her teeth, but she took Ethan and gently placed him on her tongue. She closed her mouth and began to crease Ethan's bud, tasting his flavor; he was sweet, which made her like him even more now, a soft, sweet taste. They say your character is how you taste, so Ethan's kind, sweet nature made him enjoyable to feast on. Indy mouth was watering on his flavor alone, but she had to stop herself. Ethan was coated in saliva, and Indy musty breathe, reeking in the tiny dark space. As Indy lifted her head to take in Ethan, Ethan slide downwards. He felt her throat muscles take him in; he knew they could crush him instantly if she wanted them to, but Indy was soft and made sure to be gentle. He could tell she had experienced this from eating Lily; Ethan could see nothing, but the itch was for real. This was something he dreamed of, but to be eaten? It felt better than he thought, after a minute, he softly plumped into Indy's stomach. It was also dark; its soft walls surrounded Ethan, and with his smaller size, there was an okay amount of wiggle room. He felt the stomach walls, which Made Indy alight, as it was like tickling her. But Indy pressed her hand against her stomach and spoke to Ethan, "You safe now, you can rest easy. I'll take care of you..you have lost, but now you gained., my little hero," she spoke in such a soft tone tingled in Ethan's ears. Ethan wiggled slightly to get comfy instead of her, and he heard it. Indy's heartbeat was soothing but mesmerizing; it had a soft beat, which made him sleepy. You could say Indy had the heart of a mother. Ethan closed his eyes in the darkness but knew he was safe.
