Thanks!. Understood contraction mechanism... But what would be the release mechanism after nerve potential stops? Would the Ca2+ be reabsorbed and how this happens? How fiber would recover original length? Would a "problem" in the reléase mechanism explain rare conditions like Thomsen myotonia congenita in which it takes some time for a muscle to reléase after contracted?
Can you take a few minutes and try to answer my question: If a person wants to throw a football, that person will grip the ball and then bend his right (or left) arm, bend the arm backwards, and finally release and throw the ball. the bending action is supposed to accumulate power for the throw. Can you explain this in the same kind of language you used to explain how muscles work?
Very well done. Thanks!
